St. Andrews
Administration Department is located at the Municipal Office
at 500 Railway Avenue in Clandeboye.
Operating
hours are: Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Administrative
management, in co-operation with administrative support staff,
carry out the various duties assigned to this department.
These
duties include:
- Accounting
functions, employee relations, all administrative functions
as related to the entire Municipality
- Recommend
to Council all essential projects, work and matters to be
carried out during the year, together with a detailed estimate
of the costs
- Prepare
an operating budget, an estimate of operating revenues and
expenditures and a five year capital expenditure program
- Consider
and report to Council on all matters relating to the implementation
and adherence of municipal resolutions and by-laws
It is also the responsibility of the CAO to ensure that
the by-laws, minutes and all other records and books of
account are kept safe; to prepare and collect taxes; to
respond to inquiries from the public, staff and Council;
to schedule all meetings of Council; to ensure the administration
of payroll and to ensure the authorized expenditures are
paid and that money belonging to the Municipality is deposited
in the appropriate financial institutes.
