The Rural Municipality of St. Andrews lies along the Red River between Lake Winnipeg and the Provincial Capital City of Winnipeg. It is part of the Interlake Region of the Province.
We are only a few kilometers from the cities of Winnipeg and Selkirk, and all the opportunities they have to offer.
Many of the municipality's 11,000 residents live in the southern portion of the municipality, commuting to the city to work, while enjoying the relaxed atmosphere of rural life.
As you head further north, you will see more seasonal cottages around the creeks and waterways, as well as various farming operations.
Our Municipality serves to all lifestyles with the best part being, we are just far enough out of the cities to avoid the hectic lifestyle, but yet close enough travel to them and enjoy the opportunities that they also provide.
There are several small communities located within our municipality including Lockport, Petersfield, St. Andrews and Clandeboye which all have their own special characteristics such as community centres, schools, skating rinks and shopping areas.
We hope that you will take the time to drive out and see for yourself what a scenic and great place it truly is.
