The St. Andrews Animal Control Officer and Custodian of the Municipal Animal Shelter performs an important service both to people and animals.

The St Andrews Animal Control Shelter is located on the north east corner of Highway #8 and Poplar Ave - 5 minutes north of St. Andrews Airport.

The By-Law provides for protection against dogs "running at large" and food and shelter for animals found abandoned and/or neglected and lost.

Every dog is required to be licensed: $12.00 per annum neutered, $40.00 per annum un-neutered.
